I cried at the photo reveal. I saw a strong, beautiful, brave person who I was meeting for the first time. And it was me. The real me. In that moment I couldn’t be more proud of myself. But let’s back up here. I was nervously excited when booking this session with Barbara at Luminaire Studio. She came highly recommended to me… but I wasn’t sure I could be brave enough to do this. When I arrived, I instantly felt comfortable with Barbara, like we were old friends. She put so much thought into every detail for me. Her space is beautiful, comfortable and inviting. Barbara set up the music I love, snacks, drinks and the hair and makeup were done perfectly. We just clicked and within the first 5 minutes of taking photos I told her straight out “you sure know how to make someone feel like a movie star”! And we rocked it from there. She even laid out a stringy lacy little number for me to try. It was fierce. I wore sexy outfits which I always told myself I’d never look good in. I had the most wonderful experience with Lynn. She was great at making me comfortable and guiding me with posing and ensuring I felt at ease throughout the entire process. If you have been on the fence about booking a boudoir shoot with Lynn just do the damn thing. I was amazed with how many great images Lynn captured with lots of variety. When I need a confidence boost these photographs give me that. Will definitely book another shoot with Lynn!

Just did my first Pinup shoot ever this Saturday. I cannot say enough good things about Mark! He is incredibly talented, knowledgeable and amazing to work with. I have done many editorial/boudoir shoots, but this was the first pinup I had done. He effortlessly guided me through the entire day. I left feeling so jazzed and empowered. One photographer who handles everything so perfectly and professionally with all her enthusiasm and charm is Riya. It was so great to have Riya as our new born photographer. She is very skilled in handling the baby during the shoot. She had the props to make the process easier and she was absolutely fabulous with her ever so friendly and chirpy nature. I recently had the photoshoot done for my newborn daughter. Riya was very patient with the baby as it’s really difficult to get a newborn in a desired pose. She did an amazing job with the editing as well. We got some wonderful photos which we are going to cherish forever.

Took a lighting workshop here. It was very informative. The instructor Elizabeth was magnificent. Presentation and instructions were well thought out. We also got to practice what we learned on a model for half the time. It was a great experience.

Elizabeth is a very capable and knowledgeable teacher and the instruction I received will help my photography tremendously! I cannot wait to use the creative studio space! Edit: I also attended a Skill Share event with a number of photographers/models/creatives and toured the studio space (which was beautiful!). The event was well organized and there was plenty of space and equipment. Highly recommend as an opportunity to meet others in the community and sample the space!

Beyond Boundaries offers a colourful And inspiring space for creative folks. My music and dance group, The Demand, needed a space in a pinch to choreograph and practice for a performance this winter and they were able to provide us with just what we needed. They were able to be flexible with us as we figured out the best space, as there are a few options. We found it very conducive for working and practicing. I could see myself returning to use the different sets for photo shoots in the future. The space is clean and also has so much life. Every different area has something exciting to look at and explore. I highly recommend Beyond Boundaries to anyone looking for a place to be productively creative. What a wonderful environment to birth new projects and also dream up new ones!
