When I turned up at Fionaās studio with pretty much zero ideas about what I wanted for my branding shoot, she didnāt bat an eyelid, instead, she smiled and offered suggestions. Iām autistic and I work with neurodivergent people in my business, and I can hand-on-heart say that Fiona not only offered me a brilliant end product, but the entire experience was seamless. Being autistic means I take things very literally, as I followed Fi around the different spaces she uses, she leant against the areas where she wanted me to pose, showing me without words what she had in mind for that particular image. When I asked if the pose I was in was right she offered guidance with no judgement. Once the shoot was over Fi went through the images with me and she made suggestions on how I could use some of them in my marketing. I am delighted with my photos and if you have the opportunity to work with her Iād bite her hand off, not literally! What a wonderful experience it was.Our year old baby girl is what I call tough crowd - making her smile is almost impossible especially when there is a stranger trying to do it . She even cried to start with, but eventually, after she was allowed to investigate surroundings and even gently touch camera sheās not only relaxed but was laughing and crawling everywhere :) Pure professionalism and amazing patience with kids. Anyone can take a photo, but at Mackeyās they creat art. The end result was breathtaking and I was heart broken because we couldnāt take all portraits home, however I think we did managed to pick the most amazing ones. We definitely will be back to document next important milestone in our life.
